OpenDoor Financial Centre
Based in Newcastle, the OpenDoor Financial Centre is not only our financial planning and mortgage broking home but the place where our administrative team provides full support to you and your financial planner in New South Wales.
The Centre prides itself on providing a flexible workplace, allowing employees to achieve a true work-life balance – in fact, only two of our administrative staff work on a full-time basis. The remainder of our staff have taken the opportunity to study, take care of family or travel, whilst enjoying a challenging and interesting career.
Our practice enjoys a true family feel, despite our ongoing growth in Australian financial planning.

Jasminka is our lending specialist and joined us in 2011 after a banking career spanning almost 29 years. She handles our clients’ loan applications from lodgement with the lender to settlement.
We are a family business and Kayleen is Andrew’s sister who is highly skilled at writing our Statements of Advice and has completed her Diploma of Financial Planning. This allows her to understand the strategy our Planners have devised before creating the Statement of Advice. After a legal industry career, Kayleen began working for Andrew in 2004 and now assists clients within Andrew’s Financial Planning Firm.
Assistant Office Manager
Jessica is Andrew’s daughter and after completing her HSC in 2011 is now studying at university for a Bachelor of Business and has completed her Diploma in Financial Planning. She is working with us on a part-time basis in the role of Assistant Office Manager. She assists Rebecca with office administration and is responsible for marketing the business.
Payroll and Accounts
Jenny is Andrew’s wife and she has always assisted the practice from behind the scenes in one form or another. However, we were delighted when she recently joined our team on a more formal basis and she now has responsibility for the payroll and accounts functions within the OpenDoor Financial Centre office.
Pamela joined us in late 2013 and bringing a wealth of knowledge from a long career in banking. Pam assists in many roles across the office, providing relief when staff are on recreational leave or are sick, preparing interview paperwork for our Planners, and making appointments with potential new clients.
Working from home allows Cathy to balance career with family life. Cathy lives in Sydney but our technology allows her to complete her duties in the same way as our employees within our office. Along with Pam, Cathy undertakes research activities required by our practice and also undertakes one-off projects to assist office workflow.
Pam has worked as part of our team from the early days of the business. She is one of our remote workers and completes her duties from home. Pam is responsible for researching the superannuation accounts, investments and insurance of our Planners’ clients. A highly valued team member, she is also Andrew’s mum!
Deanne is one of our remote business partners and works with Kayleen to provide guidance on the compliance side of our Statements of Advice. This is a complex area and we ensure our quality of advice by utilising Deanne’s expertise. She has worked as a Financial Planner in the past and now assists other financial planning practices with her compliance knowledge.
Barbara was one of Andrew’s longest serving employees. She worked as Andrew’s assistant in his earlier banking role and has been known to his family for 20 years. She has since retired and we wish her a very happy retirement.
